Folk Heritage Committee

The Folk Heritage Committee is a local group that produces two of Asheville’s signature events: the Shindig on the Green and the Mountain Dance and Folk Festival. I was hired to overhaul their website, which was badly out of date, and did not work will on mobile devices. I worked within their budget using a free events manager plugin, which I was able to customize to made it work exactly for their needs. I also created a custom plugin for managing their sponsors. This gave them a way to manage sponsor information, such as names and logos, set donation levels, and have it automatically presented in a several different ways. Because the have many sponsor logos, I decided to create a automatically scrolling carousel of logos. The site also uses my customer testimonials manager, which is set to hook with the events. This site is fully responsive and works on all devices from smart phones to desktops. Because this is a WordPress website, they can now manage their own site in a simple way.
